Dragon

A dragon is a legendary creature, typically with serpentine or reptilian traits, that features in the myths of many cultures. ▸     IS    YOUR    MUSE    TALL    /    SHORT    /    AVERAGE ? average height at 5′5. Can appear a bit taller than she is because of how she carries herself thanks to her dancing.

▸      ARE    THEY    OKAY    WITH    THEIR    HEIGHT ? She sometimes wishes she was a different height. Really depends on her dancing. She wants to appear taller, elegant and graceful. But if she was shorter she would be easier to lift and carry. 

▸      WHAT’S    THEIR    HAIR    LIKE ? naturally wavy and becomes a bit curly when wet. It’s pretty damn soft and strong and healthy. She takes great care of her hair.

▸     DO    THEY    SPEND    A    LOT    OF    TIME    ON    THEIR    HAIR     /    GROOMING ? Yep! She washes her hair and deeps conditions it often. She makes sure that she trims it often and keeps it strong and healthy.

Growing up dancing she was always comparing herself to the other girls in her group. was her teeth white and straight enough? was she skinny enough? ▸      WHAT    ARE    SOME    OF    YOUR    MUSE’S    BAD    HABITS? Drinking. She starts drinking in high school, when she’s about 15, to help her cope with her empathy. She doesn’t stop or slow down until she’s in her mid-twenties. 

She bottles up her emotions. She doesn’t want to bother people about her own issues because she figures that people are dealing with more important things. So, she doesn’t talk about her emotions or her issues to anyone. 

She’s a giver. Which is nice and all but it consumes her sometimes. She wants people around her to be happy and content because that means she can be happy and content. So she helps people. Gives them what they need to the point of her being left emotionally, mentally and physically drained. 

▸      HAS    YOUR    MUSE    LOST    ANYONE    CLOSE    TO    THEM?      HOW    HAS    IT    AFFECTED    THEM? Depends on the verse really. In the unchanged future where her mother dies, Melinda kinda breaks down. It’s too much emotionally for her and she further retreats into herself. She doesn’t let anyone in and she tries to distract herself from it. 

So, that’s basically how she would react if she lost anyone. Bottle up those emotions and distract herself with dance, X-Files or something else that can occupy her time.

▸      WHAT    ARE    SOME    FOND    MEMORIES    YOUR    MUSE    HAS? sleepovers with her family, family dinners and birthdays, the first time she went to the ballet, the first time she wore her tutu or her pointe shoes. cooking with her mother.

▸     IS    IT    EASY    FOR    YOUR    MUSE    TO    KILL?

No. Not in the slightest. She can literally feel it. The pain and fear and other emotions. It overwhelms her to the point of her being sick. She hates killing or vanquishing demons.

▸      WHAT’S    IT    LIKE    WHEN    YOUR    MUSE    BREAKS    DOWN? silent tears. shaking. she’s literally shaking and vibrating with the emotions that have finally overwhelmed her. she likes to lock herself in her bathroom when this happens. she doesn’t want to be around people because she doesn’t want to accidentally manipulate their emotions. so she hides away, cries silently and tries to bring herself back together. 

▸      IS    YOUR    MUSE    CAPABLE    OF    TRUSTING    SOMEONE    WITH    THEIR    LIFE? honestly no. like if it’s family then yes perhaps but other than that no. she wants to believe that people are good and kind and she can trust them but due to her empathy she knows that isn’t true. all she needs is to feel that little inkling of doubt coming from someone that will change her mind. she wants to trust people but she knows better. 

▸      WHAT’S    YOUR    MUSE    LIKE    WHEN    THEY’RE    IN    LOVE? even more awkward than she already is. she’s in shock a good chunk of the time because ‘wow this girl loves me’ and she can’t believe it. being a giver by nature she is going to do what she has to do to make sure that her girlfriend is happy. so she enjoys surprising them with back goods, random sweet text messages and stuff like that. she’s sickeningly sweet and awkward. but !! there’s always this underlying fear that the love she feels radiating from her girlfriend can fade any minute and she’ll be able to feel it.

“Yeah, I know that.” She smiled a bit then looked down. She was so stressed about the things going around in her life that she lost control over everything. “Its fine, Im good.” Emily said while she was lost in her own thoughts. “Sometimes I forget about the small things that are completely normal. Just like that.”

      Melinda knew that the other girl wasn’t fine nor good but she knew well enough by now that she shouldn’t push about these things. Her family wasn’t the best when it came to sharing, which was rather irritating for the empath, and she knew she couldn’t push them. “I journal.” she admits. “The little things that happened that day that made me happy or smile or feel something good. Then I can look back at them and feel better when I’m feeling like crap.”

Melinda does not curse. Like it’s takes a lot to get a single bad word out of that girl’s mouth. The only time you will ever hear her say the words ‘fuck’ or ‘damn’ or ‘ass’ is when she’s drunk as hell or when she gets hurt. Other than that it’s ‘fudge’ or ‘darn’ or ‘butt’, ‘heck’, ‘hecken frick!”
